A New Museum

2929 is an exhibition using A NEW MUSEUM's address as a double take. Using his series of Public Sculptures made with ready-made-trash and debris on streets and sidewalks around San Francisco Mission, Sollars will be installing some of these recent creations in the Museum over the course of the two weeks.
A NEW MUSEUM was conceived by San Francisco-based artist Abner Nolan for "Art in Storefronts", a project sponsored by the San Francisco Arts Commission and the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development. A NEW MUSEUM is located at 2929 24th Street in San Francisco's Mission District.

A New Museum
Left Window smashed with motorcycle helmet on first day and slowly repaired. Right Window smashed with rusted paint can on last few days then repaired. On the last day of 2929, both fixed windows displayed the smashing device and the broken glass.

Back Room
Speakeasy Gallery of sculptures in the vacant white peg-board wall covered former Chinese Book Store / 99 cent Store. The sculptures are inspired by the effects of the 21st century American Economy, made with ready-made-trash and debris on streets and sidewalks around the San Francisco Mission.
